A game that is not just a game
Pandemic era is indeed giving people a lot of time to do anything because majority of us are just inside our houses, including me. Since those days are my vacation days, I can't help but to be bored. But thanks to Google Play Store I found this game accidentally.
The quotes "Can you find her?" and "Can you keep a secret" hooked my attention. Giving me an initial idea about the game. At first I thought it's like the game Criminal Case that a LOT of objects will face you, but it's not. This game is different. In Duskwood, you can interact with the other characters of the game by choosing the best option to reply through chats.
What amazed me is there is a storyline and also has real game characters, I mean real people that played by particular actors and I felt that I was talking to them in real life! There are also video calls but don't worry, you don't have to hide at the camera and turn off the mic because in reality, it's just a video that is programmed. But every video call made me focused and curious. Some features of the game amazed me as well because I felt like I'm a real investigator. I even had genuine emotions throughout the story.
Speaking of the story, it's about a certain woman who disappeared without any trace. Then her friends received a strange message from that missing woman but it only contains a number, which is my number, and that's how I've been involved in the case by helping them finding her...
I don't want to spoil so I will tell my experiences as a general. At first, I found every single of them so suspicious especially that one character. But episode by episode, the personalities of each of them made me wish that they are my friends in real life, I wish their character exist. I found myself missing and thinking about them when I was not playing. Duskwood made me feel like I'm valuable, like I'm important, and the strangers than turned out to be your friends that you wish they exist in real life. Additionally a certain character that will compliment, help, and will protect you until the end, even though he is the most suspicious character in the beginning but his personality and behavior got me the most. He raised the standard of my ideal man.
The ending of the game gave me so much unanswered questions. But fortunately, the creator announced that they are currently working for a sequel so it gives me excitement and theories of what will happen to my next adventure.
If you want to download, you can find it on Google Play in android, and App Store in iOS. Just search "Duskwood" and it will be there. Recently it has 4.7/5 star ratings so it's easy to find.
What I learned the most in Duskwood is to be careful who you trust.
