My aunt is right
I agree when my aunt said that if she was being asked if what is her favorite place in the Philippines, she would choose Subic in Zambales. What made me agree is I always stay in my aunt's house in Dinalupihan, Bataan during vacations before pandemic, which is just 30 minutes away from Subic. So every weekend, we are always going there for travel and dinner. Subic, Zambales has everything, tourist attractions, beach, hotel and resorts, a lot of restaurants, hypermarkets and malls.
My favorite hypermarket there is the Royal Duty-Free, from the word "duty-free", no taxes in any products there, plus my aunt said that celebrities are often there, and she's right. One night, I saw Marjorie Barretto there, but I didn't dare to ask for a picture because first, I'm not a fan of her and second, it's her private moment with her family.
Anyway, I love the restaurants in there, especially the Wimpy's that is formerly in Olongapo but now in Harbor Point. It's just a simple restaurant mainly into burgers and chickens but my aunt said that it is one of the most loved and longest running restaurants in Subic, as well as the Meat Plus that is into steaks... I mean, STEAKS because it will take time to finish your meal there because their steaks are thick and stomach worthy.
If you want a place to eat with a view of a calm beach, Subic got you. I would suggest you the All Hands Beach Resort which is very well maintained. You can just eat there but you can pay entrance fee if you want to swim. My aunt has technique, when we are there "just to eat" we will find a spot where we are near the beach so we can just sneak and swim there, for free. Life hack.
I also love how that place is so controlled and disciplined in streets, enforcers everywhere. As a night person, I also recommend you to go there at evening, because being there at night hits so different. That's only the few reasons why I agreed to my aunt. I would definitely go there again when pandemic ends.
